  • To see the what elements exist in the air we breath.
    To practice visualizing data.

Agenda:

  • Warm-up: AIR INGREDIENTS?
    • Air(dry) is mostly only four different types of gases, there are also four other elements floating around out there in measurable quantities (between 0.001818% and 0.000055% of all air).  What do you think they might be?
  • Review-mini-quiz
  • Create a bar graph to represent the elements of the air.  Your graph must include the following:

    • A descriptive title
    • An x & y axis with proper labels
    • Proper scales for both axes
    • All elements listed are represented
    • Use the following information:
      • Nitrogen — N2 — 78.084%
        Oxygen — O2 — 20.948%
        Argon — Ar — 0.934%
        Carbon Dioxide — CO2 — 0.031%
        Other — 0.0020%

Homework

  • Complete graph of elements in the air: due Thursday 10-14-08
Missing work and correcting quiz grades below 80%

Upcoming Projects:
