For extra credit. . . Think about one of the characters in the book you are reading. I want to know what you think their theme song might be. Tell me what the song is, and how it reflects the character in some way. To do this right you’ll need to describe the character and the song and directly point out the relationship between the two.  If you would like me to listen to it and have a link to a place where I can hear it feel free to post it.  (Songs need to be school appropriate!!)

EXAMPLE: What’s my Theme Song?

The novels other main character is named Daneel; he is a robot. For his theme song I have chosen Robot Parade, by They Might Be Giants. One of the restrictions placed on robots are the “Three Laws,” one of these laws is: A robot must obey a human.

The lyrics of the song read, “Robots obey what the children say.” It is true, in the novel, that a robot would have to obey even a child’s commands. This blind compliance plays an important role in solving the case.
