This Fall, we dusted off the 2005 “Elementary Technology Curriculum Framework”, a sequential K-5 technology skills guide, and used it as the base for a fresh, updated 2007 version reflecting the dynamic technology changes of the past two years in the context of the technology tools (hardware & software) and resources Reiche Elementary School is able to offer its users. The reincarnation of this “working document” is intended to help our teachers make strides with technology integration in their classrooms as well as to assist them with meeting their personal technology goals and with their commitment to teaching Reiche students technology skills that support academic and social success as they advance to Middle School, High School, and beyond!
Thank you, Cindy & Pat for doing all the leg work back in 2005 for the “Elementary Level Technology Framework“. Your research and investment of time, your wisdom and sharing made it easy for us to re-evaluate all grade-level teacher objectives and student goals and expectations. We couldn’t have done it without you!
The updated, 2007 “Elementary Level Technology Framework” contains two sections:
- Section 1 (page 1-5): General Introduction & Rationale, Goals & References - The International Society for Technology in Education: National Educational Technology Standards for Students (on the Web at http://cnets.iste.org/students/s_stands.html)
- Section 2 (page 6-20): Grade Level Specific Technology Expections (grades 1-5)
