Upcoming Unit of Study in Language Arts (3/10/08-3/28/08)
March 5th, 20083/18/08 Dear Parents of Blue 7 Students,
I have updated term 3 grades today. Some students are caught right up to date but many have not turned in assignments to Mrs. Menard for this 3rd trimester yet. Please look on the Power School grade book with your child and encourage them to complete and pass in any missing work ASAP. We are trying to have each student get off to a good start for this third term of the school year. Please talk with your child about the importance of keeping on working hard…there are many days of school yet before summer vacation and we have much to learn in the remaining time! Blue 7 has the pleasure of introducing Mrs. Tracey Menard as our Language Arts ETEP student teacher from USM. She will be with us until the end of April. The next three weeks of Language Arts classes will be devoted to a unit of study devoted to analyzing: informational sources for truth and reliability, persuasive information/opinions, bias in advertising, and analyzing various media presentations. Mrs. Menard and Mrs. Hood will team teach during these three weeks.
