Why walk somewhere when you can drive? That question is brought up in thousands of house holds around the world. There is one simple statement that goes with that. Cause and Effect. We use a lot of oil. So much oil that we are running out. Oil is not something that we can just grow more of. It is something that is limited. A limiited resource. Since there is not much oil left things that used to be cheap are now more expensive. Gas is more expensive and since gas is more expensive so is milk and soon meat. Why? Because milk has to be driven to grocery store and so does meat. Since companies are losing money because of gas prices they need to charge more money for their products. There is a solution however. Many farmers are now growing corn or switchgrass for biodiesel. Another problem is brought up there though. Since farmers are getting paid more for growing corn and switch grass for biodiesel they are switching to that instead of growing organic food for the public. See? This is a cycle. A simple solution for you? Bike more! Walk more! Use your legs instead of gas and oil.

Everbody is so worried about the panda’s when we should start looking more into the polar bears. Were the ones causing them to be endangered, by the dreaded Global Warming. (DUN DUN DUUUN!) Many people say it’s not real but try explaining that to the polar bears. Everyday the mother goes out for food for her young. She goes miles and when she gets tired there is no resting spot. The mother try’s to go on but she can’t so she and her baby drowns. Global Warming is real and it’s effecting all animals. Lots of orginations are trying to help these animals like the “WWF”. They go to Antartica and try to help all the polar bears with the donations that everybody as giving them. By doing this were just one step away from helping polar bears.

We’re depentent on trees for survival and yet we thoughtlessly chop them down. So now it’s time to get thinking. The most important thought is the that trees breath out oxygen. I’m sure you’ve heard that over and over again, but the thing is it obviously needs to be heard over and over again. That oxygen is what we need to survive. However we keep chopping. If you are still a thuoghtless chopper or on the thoughtless chopper’s side then get thinking about this. Tibet has banned logging because the loss of trees increased flooding. So trees not only give us oxygen, but they protect us from flooding as well by sucking up the water in their roots. Now trees seem much better don’t they? If that’s not enough trees give us shade on a sunny, hot day. So plant your own tree!

Since global warming is going so fiercely the mosquito population is growing and thriving even more if you can believe it!! With mosquitos comes Malaria, a deadly disease. So it really is inconvenient! I know you might think Malaria only exists in tropical places, you’re right and wrong. Right now it is in tropical places, but with global warming everything could turn into a tropical place! Also with increased global warming mosquitos will live in paradise! Some of the only places mosquitos can’t go are the arctic, and high up mountains. Humans however can’t live in the arctic and global warming chases the cold far away from the mountains. There is a way out of this situation however. Help curb global warming! For ideas read Daily Advisors by the Presumpscot Kids. It is not yet an inconvenient bite.

Did you know girls in other countries are sometimes sold if their family has no money? These girls are usually sold to men who are like 20 years older than them! The younger the girl the bigger the price. After these girls are sold they are in complete control of the family their sold to. I am going to be doing a report on world peace, and trying to relate it to the environment. Even just in this country, people are trying to make it legal to carry around concealed weapons! Also, the wars Iraq, Darfur, and so many others, are causing complete destruction! Related to the environment, bombs and guns release a ton of pollution into the air.
