Ricoh AP3800c Network Scanner Twain Configuration

Posted by: Geoffrey O'Brien | January 30, 2008 |

These instructions pertain to Windows 2000/XP:

1.  Install the twain drivers from Ricoh’s website
2.   Navigate to C:\WINDOWS\twain_32\Ricoh_V3\TP3800C\ScanCTRL
3.  Open the scnhosts file and add a line to include the IP address of the scanner you wish to control.  If there is more than one scanner that you wish to scan to, make additional lines as needed.  Save the file.
4.  Open your twain compatible application (Acrobat, Photoshop, etc.)
5.  Import from the AP3800 or scanner depending on the application.
