Over 100 Themes Now Available

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

Our blogging server now offers over one hundred themes. They’re slick, fully accessible, entirely standards based and we’re adding to them all the time. As a blogger, you can customize every sidebar using the Widget system, insert your own headers into many themes and even select the look and feel for those with alternative CSS displays.  Have Fun.

01/03/08 - Blog Server Upgrade - And Then Some

Friday, January 4th, 2008

Tonight I finalized the blog server’s planned software upgrades.  These upgrades not only gave us a newer version of the blogging engine, but I have also updated the php version to 5.2.4 and added some anti-spam add-ons called “Captchas.”  The use of Captchas will require you to take an additional step when logging into the server, and to post comments,  This is the only real way to determine if you are a valid user, and not an automated spam-bot.

10/31/07 - Scheduled Maintenance Planned

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

I have decided to take the time during Christmas Break to do a major upgrade on the blog server. This is a sync of WordPress 2.3.1 which includes native tagging support as well as many bug and security fixes. I will also be including the ability to choose your primary blog in your profile for users that have more than one blog. Another network card wlll be enabled to improve throughput for users while using the blogging server from within the district. I will be posting the exact dates and time for the scheduled maintenance as we get closer to the Christmas Break.

10/26/07 - French & Spanish Languages Added

Friday, October 26th, 2007

I have added the ability to view your site in French and Spanish.  This does not translate your site into these languages, but changes all the interface wording, into the language of your choice.  I will be adding other languages as time goes on, but have fun with these for now.  You can see how to change to French or Spanish by viewing the image below.
