* Call me dense, I still don’t really get the difference between Post & Page. Think that I’ve organized my blog backwards. So, what IS the difference.
* Still wish I could do more text editing - font & size. Am I missing anything?
* Is there a way to track who visits my blog and how often? Is their a “hit count” I can launch? I’ve posted stuff to support Reiche staff and it would be interesting to know if anyone even bothers. I really would like to use threads as a forum for tech discussions among staff.
*REALLY like the new Blog dashboard! I’ll visit the Tips more frequently!

There is a “hit count” you can download. Email me and I will let you know.

First I would like to answer to Janny:
1) if you consider a post to be an article, a daily entry, then a page would be something a bit more static - for example, a page may be about your course, or may include some policies that your class or school goes by. A post would be about today’s field trip, an announcement or an account of an event, etc. Does that make it a bit clear? Check out my blog, just add /laplao for the blog name after .org
2) You can change the basic font (by using the bold, italics and strike out buttons in visual editor), but the rest is done through code. For example, you can use your text for heading one, respectively, you can figure out the rest of the headings by simply changing the number in both places. I am not sure about the color - I know there are ways to do it, but not so sure. You can also change the look by applying various themes to find the one you like particularly - themes come with a pre-set font/color scheme for each post/page.
3) generally, there are counters - not sure if you can insert them into the Wordpress, but you may try. Another way to figure out if your blog has ever been visited - allow comments - and encourage your readers to leave them.
You may also suggest an RSS reader - like bloglines or Google Reader - these allow you to subscribe to a blog, or comments on your blog, or any other RSS feed for that matter. Instead of checking if there is a new post by visiting the site, you just sit tight and wait for that post to come your way whenever it gets published - you are instantly notified, when you check your Google Reader or bloglines account.

My second question is - Edublogs - which is wordpress as well - just announced they have a forum feature - which is very cool!
Can we get that for Portlandschools bloggers? That would be “real cool”!

Yes, as soon as I do the upgrade June 23-24, I will put that feature, along with others.
