We have been prepping for the MEAs all week. The students have all been practicing with reading passages and multiple choice questions. I have been teaching the students about how to find an answer by the process of elimination. The MEAs will be Monday, March 3-Wednesday, March 5, from approximately 8:15-10:30.

We have been busy prepping for the MEAs. Monday and Tuesday we focused on mean, median, and mode. Today we reviewed long division. Tomorrow and Friday we will be working on graphing and coordinate points.
The MEAs will begin Monday and end on Wednesday, March 5. They will be from approximately 8:15-10:30.

The students have spent this week (and will again after vacation) prepping for the MEAs. Yesterday and today we will be focusing on mean, median, and mode. The students have made creative posters on this process. Have a great vacation!

Happy Valentines Day. The students have been writing Valentines Day poems and will be presenting them today in a Valentines Day reading.
I do not assign homework over vacation….so enjoy!

The students today worked on their persuasive essays. Most of them are almost done with their rough drafts and we will start typing them later this week. Today we focused on transition words and when to add them to their writing. I gave them the examples of: additionally, in conclusion, for example, [...]

Today the students worked on making fun phrases to help them remember their multiplication facts. Examples: If you want 4 Superbowls instead of 3, then root for #12, Tom Brady. 4 x 7 is a fact people hate, because it’s hard to remember 28.
