The students are continuing to work on PEMDAS (order of operations). We are also continuing to master our multiplication and division facts. Many of the students are still struggling with basic facts.
The students all successfully finished their reading assessments. We are now beginning our grammar unit. The students are going to be having “DOL’s” (Daily Oral Language) for homework. I will assign these every other week. They are to fix the mistakes on the sheet and then rewrite or type them out [...]
We are continuing work on reading assessments. I am assessing the students on their reading and comprehension.
The students are now moving into order of operations. We are spending today, Wednesday, in the computer lab so the students can learn how to log onto the “live” gradebook at home.

The students are working on exponents this whole week as a lead in to order of operations.
The past 3 weeks have been review weeks for the students. We are all still working as a class at mastering our basic facts (multiplication, division, addition and subtraction). Any extra practice at home would be appreciated. We were lucky to have Mrs. Mullis assisting all of last week with class.
