What does a graduating student look like?

Here is the current brainstorming list for the question:

What does a student look like when graduating from the Arts Academy?

  • understands the cultural contributions of the arts and how the arts shape and are shaped by prevailing cultural and social beliefs and values
  • understands how knowledge of varied academic disciplines can influence and affect their own creativity
  • understands the value of working collaboratively as well as individually in all aspects of life.
  • values the process of connecting to their inner creative voice
  • uses observation, intuition, and critical thinking to solve problems
  • fluent in vocabulary of major subject matter
  • has the knowledge and skill sets of the MLR Guiding Principles, so s/he is ready to succeed in everyday life, with self-confidence, ability to solve problems, and build community.
  • has explored a variety of post-graduation options to see how arts careers can manifest themselves in many professions.
  • has explored other courses at PATHS through semester courses and electives
  • has achieved mastery in Math, Science, English, and History
  • compassionate
  • express themselves creatively
