I was talking to Dana and mentioned one of the things Lisa will be doing to draw students to the Dance program will be to explore the possibility of offering PE integrated credits for the Dance Program.
When he was the principal at PHS, he set up an agreement with the Portland School of Ballet offering the following:

*2 Phys-ed credits at the end of the student's freshman year
*1 Health credit at the end of the student's sophmore year
*2 Fine arts credits at the end of the student's junior year
*2 Additional fine arts credits at the end of the student's senior year

This is a great precedent for integrated credits for the dance program.

Hey people I see my name here and actually Lisa has already asked me to do some writing with the class and I am starting next week on Tuesday.

I know I have said this before but I would love to see if there is a way to make an integrated class that could give students and English credit because that is the big one. I would be happy to try and come up with readings and a writing component to present to schools (in collaboration with Lisa) if this could fly.

I really like the idea of "crossover days". I need to hear more of what you folks talked about, but my first thoughts are around a series of crossover days that somehow culminate in an event. I love the idea of having students teaching others.
