When he was the principal at PHS, he set up an agreement with the Portland School of Ballet offering the following: *2 Phys-ed credits at the end of the student's freshman year *1 Health credit at the end of the student's sophmore year *2 Fine arts credits at the end of the student's junior year *2 Additional fine arts credits at the end of the student's senior year This is a great precedent for integrated credits for the dance program. I know I have said this before but I would love to see if there is a way to make an integrated class that could give students and English credit because that is the big one. I would be happy to try and come up with readings and a writing component to present to schools (in collaboration with Lisa) if this could fly.
