We discussed having a recruitment day back-to-back with PATHSFEST, and we would invite middle school students on that day. Vicky will talk to John M. more about this.

We did some work on “what does a graduating student look like?”

  1. Review John M.’s response to a second day of PATHSFEST for recruiting (5 minutes)
  2. Revise/review PATHSFEST timeline (10 minutes)

Summary:

Jill gave us an update about the ReachOut grant. We decided that we’d like a tent and we’ll seek additional funding.

We filled out more of our timeline for PATHSFEST (see details in the minutes)

We had a brief discussion about recruiting for the Dance program (and in general)

Agenda for 1/23/08:
- discuss Dance and recruitment with John M. (15 minutes)
- craft an invitation to middle schools for PATHSFEST with John M. (15 minutes)
- visioning (15 minutes)
- agenda / parking lot

Arts Academy Meeting Notes, January 9th, 2008

Summary:
We started a “to do” list for PATHSFest. Next week we will put those items on a timeline.

We came up with a vision statement, (now up on our “About” page). Next week we will edit our graduating student requirements list.

Homework for next time: look through “what does a graduating student look like?” and pull out/edit.

  1. Put TODO list into PATHSFest timeline (15 minutes)
  2. Visioning (45 minutes)
