- Jill Irving
Full Notes (paraphrased):
Phil has received 11 forms for PATHSFEST sign-up. After he receives more, he will make a master schedule.
Exhibits can be ongoing, as long as a student or students are there overseeing. We should ask Brian to clarify what the rules are for ongoing exhibits to the staff (who supervises the room/area, etc).
The publicity statement mentions door prizes & raffles. We need to make sure we have items!
We need a poster. Diane is on it. We can scan it in and print it to the color printer or plotter.
Vicky talked to one of the Morning Show hosts at the "Q" radio station and they’d be interested in coming, but only if there’s other community stuff going on. Could we do a food drive? A local performer? (definitely for next year). It needs to appeal to adults, since we probably won’t get very many kids being a school day.
Channel 6 is interested, but can’t commit. They said to send them information on it, and then remind them a few times the week of PATHSFEST.
For Music, the PATHSFEST performance by the Music class will be back-to-back with the HOME project performance. We need to plan a block just for the HOME project, with performances, art, etc.
For next Monday:
- Phil will gather sign-up sheets and send Val a bunch of representative offerings (at least one from each cluster)
- Val will finish final draft of publicity statement and make sure Di has it for the poster.
- Dave N. will have more info on fire/police demonstration options
- Phil will put together the schedule.
Other ideas:
- ask advisory board members if their organization wants to come do a demo? (maybe next year)
- other companies to come in (NAPA?)
- Jill will ask Gerry or Mark about a stock car exhibit.
- Hot air balloon? Jill will find out
- Kites?
- Rodney Richards chainsaw carving?
