We will go forward with the VISTA application (due next Friday, 3/9), but only if John can act as the supervisor. He is nervous that he won’t have enough time to do the job and is meeting with Vicky and Dana on Thursday, 3/1, to discuss it. If he can’t act as supervisor, we will skip the VISTA app for this year.
We want next year’s VISTA to concentrate on grant-writing and developing/assessing programs.
Diane and Val are looking into planning grants. Diane has been in contact with Sue Steele. Val will compose a couple of paragraphs about our work and run them by the team before contacting the Maine Arts Commission (Donna McNeil and Paul Feria) and Argy Nestor in the Department of Education, who visited PATHS earlier this year.

For Thursday, we will do the following tasks:
- planning grants (research): Val & Diane
- dates for VISTA application: Vicky
- contact John & Tom about supervising a VISTA for next year: Phil
We will look at applying for both a VISTA and a planning grant for next year.
Interdisciplinary project: it has been hard to get a proposal from Lisa DiFranza, but she is supposed to be sending a proposal to Vicky by e-mail on 2/27.
Snack Shack: please ask students’ parents if they could volunteer on a Monday. We can use Chef’s area, and Phil has offered fridge space and coffeemakers.

Elizabeth has requested a transfer and will no longer be with us as a VISTA volunteer. We are still able to apply for a VISTA for next year.
We had a brief discussion about taking over the Snack Shack on Mondays as a group.

On Monday, we will meet to wordsmith the different parts of our AARAT information document (see sections below).
We discussed how we are sharing curricula andhow we have shared it in the past. Some people felt that students should all have art/design knowledge, and we briefly talked about piloting a different schedule to allow students to rotate through an art/design course.
This was part of a bigger discussion about scheduling, prerequisites, exit criteria, and standards.

We will meet on 2/8 and 2/12 to prepare an informational document for the staff that will be available on 2/15.
Can we do updated "Scope & Sequence" documents for each of our courses, so that we can start talking about curricula and exit criteria?
Where are we on the HOME project? We need an updated proposal from Lisa DiFranza so that we can see about funding.
Possibility of running the Snack Shack on Mondays until the end of the year. Other fundraising ideas are an online store or e-Bay site, silent auction items at the Fasion Show.
Please send all of your volunteers through Elizabeth, so that she can count them as part of her "number of volunteers processed" when she reports to VISTA.
