Which is the Best: Nuclear Energy, Coal, or Gas?

I don’t think any are best; nuclear energy though clean, leaves nuclear waste which cannot be disposed of. Coal and gas are not environmently friendly and will someday run out.

There needs to be another sulution regarding energy.

There are many more options like: electric motors, hydrogen fuel cells and Equinox Fuel that GM is developing.

  3.

steve, to make electricity you need coal (which when burned is bad for the environment, and will run out)..to use hydrogen fuel cells you use to more energy to get to it. equinox fuel and hydrogen fuel cells are the same thing so….

sorry if i didn’t make it clear about the fuel cell. to be able to use the fuel cells there is a process it needs to go through and that uses more energy then the actual fuel cell, hope that helps.

I support solar, hydro, and wind power above all other types of energy.

I understand that solar and hydro and wind cost a whole lot more than nuclear and gas power. But in the long run solar, wind, and hyrdo power will be profitable and it will be quite revolutionary. We’ll be a green nation, and we’ll be following after Europe.

Did you know that 20% of Germany’s energy source comes from wind power? And France is advancing in the nuclear power field. We need to preserve what can’t be renewed and start recycling to help this nation a long.

We are all envious of Europe, but it smells. Many of their cars have better fuel efficiencies, but they have different emission laws. Cars in America have a maximum level of fuel efficiencies that aren’t in Europe.

I meant emissions, not efficiencies in that last sentence.

I don’t think that any of these choices are great. I definetely agree with Ben Alcorn. I also think that we need to figure out a different healthy way to get energy. :)
