I am happy to see that for the first time, there is a very good chance that either a woman, or a person of African-American descent will be president.
    Personally, I am for Obama.
His health care system is incredibly well-thought-out.

    yess Sofi. i agree.

I’m not trying to bad mouth Hillary, but if she had never married Bill she wouldn’t be in this position. She wouldn’t have a prior White House experience, and she wouldn’t be known. Obama shows promise as a young, articulate, HEALTHY(that’s right McCainn, he’s not going to die on us), smart man. I believe that whoever wins, whether Obama or Hillary, that our country will change for the better.

No more Republicans. I’m ready for the Democrats to take charge and clean up.

Personaly I am all for obama, I agree with Erika and Sofi. I would like to add that I don’t think anyone can do as bad of a job at our friend Bush..while he was in office we have gone to war and now we are in debt by…hold on…$9,359,397,454,953.18 in debt  http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/)

I’m not sure what the numbers are but before george w bush took office other countried owed US a lot of money!!

Als, who other then our friend bush can fill a poster of dumb quotes..

  4.

(sorry if I went off topic)

Obama’s health care plan is a beautifully thought-out one. He calls for universal health care (a principle that all developed countries but the US has already adopted). This plan could save the average American $2.5K a year!

Did anyone listen to or watch Obama’s 30 minute speech about himself? It was really good. I hope Obama is elected partly because he is a really good speaker. Bush can hardly put a coherent sentence together, but Barrack seams like he has some experience in speaking publicly.

  7.

I’m for Obama, but as long as it’s Hillary or Obama, I don’t care. I’m glad there is going to be a change in race or gender, and since the top two are both Democrats, I think the country will change for good no matter what. I go for Obama because of the free health care plan.

  8.

I just don’t want McCain to win.
    I’m rooting for Obama
but if its between Hilary and McCain then I want Hilary to win.

Hilary is the biggest liar imaginable. She lied about Bosnia more than once! When you are famous, cameras are all around you and they are constantly watching you. You don’t lie more than once about the same thing and she stayed with her husband… her cheating husband. Hilary is a very smart woman and she knows her politics, but she knows that she isn’t going to be president she knows that she isn’t even going to win the primaries.
Obama on the other hand, speaks what he feels and doesn’t change his opinion just because people don’t like his plan. Hilary, on the other hand, does. McCain, is also really old! 72,73 years old, he wants more people to go to war, he wants the rich to get even more money, so they can “Jump start the economy” so they can spend more money.
Obama’s healthcare plan is such a good idea! He will be the man that will change this country for the better.

    OBAMA ALL THE WAY!!

In this election I believe that we need to run the Republicans out of office any way possible, and maybe the way to do it is to create the dream ticket. (Barack as president and Hillary as Vice President) Any comments?

Obama HAs A chance TO WIN BOY

  12. Taylorrrr :] Says:

I personally think Hilary should be a president.
Although Erika may be right about the fact that she only has political experience because Bill Clinton is her husband (she was also in senate for some odd years), but also, realize, that our country was in amazing shape when he was president and that could really help her if she were to become president.
Obama, yeah, he seems like a really good (the most likely…) candidate but I’m not exactly sure.

  13.

    I agree w/barry

  14. Rina (SARINA) Says:

ive meet people that dont think obama will win cuz hes black.
but i WANT him to win, im for obama all the way.

  15. Alex Thompson Says:

I think that if either Hillary or Obama were to win, that they would both do a great job being president. I think that it would be nice to have a first woman president, but on the other hand, I think that it would be nice to have a first black American as our president. I’m going for either one! :) NO REPUBLICANS! hee hee hee hee

  16.

I think that Hillary should just back down and let obama get onto the ballot. Republicans want Hillary to take as many votes from Obama in the primaries because they know if she wins them she has no chance againced McCain.

  17.

    @Alex:
What exactly is wrong with Republicans?

  18.

I am ashamed to live in the same country with people who can’t even spell their presidential candidates names,

    MCCAIN

and, yes, Hillary wouldn’t have a chance against McCain, she doesn’t have a chance against anyone.

I really just don’t support her at all, but if she is the democratic candidate I guess I would have to accept that. For the Hillary supporters who say if Obama wins they’ll vote for McCain I can’t say I agree with them. If they’re democrats shouldn’t they support whoever the democratic party winner?

  19.

I’d like to be the first person to say:
    CONGRATULATIONS OBAMA!

He is now the Democratic candidate in the running for becoming America’s next president. (”Congratulations. You are still in the running for becoming America’s Next Top Model. Heh heh.”

  20.

With all due respect, I’d like to point out a few things. We cannot depend on either the Republicans or Democrats to end the war.
As of March 2008, Bush’s approval rating has sunk to a new low of just 31 percent, forty points lower than it was five years ago when we invaded Iraq. (Reminds me of what I heard about Lyndon Johnson’s decline at the time of the Vietnam war…).
And… not one of the Republican OR Democratic presidential candidates has a plan to immediately pull out all the troops.

Before last night, when Obama was nominated, there was almost nothing different about the two Democrats. At root, they both defend the status quo, albeit with this or that cosmetic change. The main task confronting the working class in the next historical period is to build a political alternative to the duopoly of the Democrats and Republicans: a mass party of labor.

    You know what?
    Never mind.
    Forget I said that.
