yeah, we need food to survive. Wearing a bajillion dollar fur coat is not needed for survivor any more. there are coats that keep you just as warm (if not warmer). I know the argument that our ancestors needed fur coats to survive, but the truth is: now we don’t.

If you wear a fur coat you end up looking like a mountain man. To go along with that stereotype you might as well eat bean curd, and stir-fry veggies.
You know what else? Building a log cabin in the White Mountains would also match the fur-coat wearing, meat-eating guy

I don’t see why someone would want to wear a fur coat. It’s just for looks anyway. Have you ever wondered how those animals are treated. It’s awful. If you want to know, look it up, but I don’t recommend it unless you want to throw up, so bring a bowl.

In my opinon, I would probably not wear a fur coat. I agree with Shae by saying that it’s just for looks and how those animals are treated. But at the same I time I can’t really be talking because I eat meat. I mean meat’s good, but I don’t like the feeling when I eat it. I’m trying to become vegan, which probably won’t work. :p But I think that it’s pointless for a person to be wearing a fur coat, but not eat meat. It’s basically the same thing. You have to do something to that certain animal to get the fur, so it’s the same thing as eating the animal.

I eat meat alot of people eat meat its just some people who want to be diffrent and try something new now they want the whole world to know about eating meat and how bad they think it is. So If it was for the people who hate meat trying something new you would be with right here eating chicken a hamburger with a fur coat on and leather shoes.

Well @#!$%, if you’re saying that taking fur off an animals body is horrible, what about leather? Leather comes from cows. There are tons of things with leather in them, furniture, shoes, bags, etc.
And when poeple eat meat, it’s food, nothin wrong with food. I love food. Meat tastes good and provides good protein and such.

i would rather eat meat and not wear fur. just the idea of killing an animal for their fur makes me digusted. for example a lynx. we do not eat the meat, but we just kill it for the fur.

For all you vegetarians and vegans, think about some of the stuff you eat. Like corn, people clear thousands of acres of wildlife full of those cute little monkeys and stuff, and they die. The giant bulldozers and waves of fire come in and wipe them clean. Then the protesters come in with the “save the tree swingers” signs and get pissed at the farmers. Maybe I’ll become an anti-vegetarian, and eat no vegetable because I love the tree swingers too. Ha!

people kill animals just for the fur. That is killing an animal so you can impress someone. If you kill an animal and eat it, it is so you can stay alive. Without food we would die. Some people would just say,”you can survive without eating meat”, and yes you can survive without eating meat, but you can also survive without a fur coat. What I am trying to say is that “It is more reasonable to live without a fur coat that to eat without eating.

alright, I found out that people eat fox meat. point taken. I’m not so sure about lynx meat though and what about minks and sables and chinchilles. I doubt people eat those.

Eat meat & not wear fur. If a vegetarian is all for animal rights then turns around and wears a fur coat that contradicts what they’re saying as a vegetarian. If someone decides they don’t really care for meat so they don’t eat it but they want to wear a fur coat that says nothing but they like fur coats.

Austin: I’ve read that the they are separate industries but the leather people buy the skins off the cows that were cut up for meat. I’ve also read that they even use the bones from cows get mixed with sugar to refine it and make it go further. This why so many vegans
won’t except “refined sugar”.

I don’t really care about this topic, but your blood becomes healthier if you don’t eat meat because the levels of cholesterol starts to deplete which means your overall health will improve. BUT, what would happen if no one ate meat in the first place? Killing animals and hunting them is part of the food chain. If we didn’t kill animals then the food chain would totally mess up, because doing at of this IS part of the food chain, DUH. Plus what would you do if the animals population grew too large, were would they go? Pshhh…. not in your houses, that’s for sure. And wearing animal fur?? The people that do fur, they wont care what you think because that’s what they like. The providers of the fur wont care as well because they sell fur for the MONEY. I don’t think its right to wear fur, but that doesn’t meen I’m gonna stop other people from wearing it because I’m not wearing it. It’s none of my concern of peoples taste in clothing.
And I really agree with Sofi, this topic is going no were because people are saying the same thin over and over agian..”Eat mean and not wear fur.” BLAH BLAH BLAH!
